WhatzIt is a spectacularly interfaced picture informer which appends a menu item to the View menu entitled Show WhatzIt Menus. When activated, small triangles appear attached to the upper left corner of picture boxes. Clicking on the icons prompts the WhatzIt Info window. This window will report detailed information related to the picture.
The Path button shows the name and path to the image on the system. The Font button will show a list of fonts used by an EPS and the Colors button will show a list of colours used by this EPS. If the image has an embedded caption, a Caption button will appear.
WhatzIt also gives users the ability to print any of the info messages it provides by typing a Command-C, which permits pasting of any info into your XPress document. The XTension will also optionally create a fully formatted QuarkXPress document detailing all WhatzIt information about your document's graphics in a clear and concise report. The XTension is also KitchenSink savvy (lowly apprentice's popular production enhancement XTension), giving you control of this cool XTension from your KitchenSink Command Pad.
